A recent report and study again emphasizes a well known term "functional capacity" to Social Security Disability. This term is relevant in that it is an attempt to assess how a person's physical limitations are specified across physical demands such as standing, walking, pushing/pulling, lifting/carrying, squatting, stooping, bending, crouching, climbing - all of which are potentially assessed by a functional capacity assessment. This article and study it refers to highlight the importance of same in documenting limitations of a Social Security Disability claimant.
